Its been a fun week. Claire, Scott and I drove down to my parents a week before thanksgiving for an eye appointment for scott. We left Rich at school.
Scott's eye is doing great. He is seeing pretty well from what we can tell and his eye is changing enough that he got a new contact with a little weaker power! His left eye (the one that had the cataract) is a little smaller and we are hopping that won't make much difference when he is older, but other than that he is amazing, strong and brave.
Scott is 7 months old! HOLY COW! He is getting so grown up. He can pull himself up to things and let go and stand on his own for a little bit, Even move from the toy box to the couch. He still isn't crawling but is getting very close. He seems more interested in standing and trying to walk than crawling.
We had fun playing with my family for a couple days while Rich stayed at home and finished a HUGE paper and a mock arbitration for school. Luckily he is done with 2 of his classes for the semester and just has to start preparing for finals now. Rich took the train down to portland and met up with us on tuesday.
Claire turns 2 in a couple weeks. My amazing little girl is growing up so fast. She is so much fun! I love it!
Most of my memories i have of my great grandma robena involve cracking walnuts. So during the week me and claire cracked a few on her walnut board. She went through so many boards and wore holes threw them. We had lots of fun.
On thanksgiving we also panned for gold in the back yard. Ealier in the week my mom got some dirt at a river near salem just for fun we panned it to see if there was gold. We did find some! Not much though.
We also ate lots of yummy food.
Thanksgiving week really made me think about how thankful I am for my wonderful kids, family and life! I am so thankful that we were able to go and buy a VAN this week. You can't believe how excited about this i am! Im loving it so much already. So much more space makes such a big difference! We also got the scooter back! wahhoooo. They found it on a trailer full of stolen bikes and things in Boring Oregon! I am thankful for the wonderful weekend we had with everyone. I am thankful for all of it!
